Ethel Catherine Marzetti Officer née Umphelby (1869 - 1970)

 

Ethel Catherine Marzetti Umphelby was born at Malvern, Victoria on 11th March, 1869 and was the youngest of the six children (four sons and two daughters) born to Charles Washington Umphelby and Lydia Umphelby née Marzetti.  She married Frank Suetonius Officer at Toorak on 5th December, 1888.  They had four children, Sir (Frank) Keith Officer OBE, MC, Elsie Margaret Officer, Jean Catherine Forster née Officer and Brigadier Hugh Ronald Officer.  Having attained 100 years, Ethel died in England on 13th January, 1970.
